Allie’s special interest in women’s hormonal health grew from witnessing a close friend navigate a devastating perimenopause journey that was repeatedly dismissed and mismanaged. She saw firsthand how profoundly untreated hormonal change can disrupt mental health, cognition, relationships, and self-trust—and how safe, appropriate treatment can restore stability and capacity.

That experience shaped her commitment to providing care that recognises hormonal transitions early, treats them properly, and never minimises their impact. She does this work to ensure women don’t spend years doubting themselves while their physiology goes unaddressed.

Allie brings calm clinical confidence, warmth, and a genuinely human presence into the room. Her style is supportive and steady—you’ll feel listened to, taken seriously, and never rushed. Sessions often include clarity, reassurance, and, when appropriate, many shared giggles that make the challenges of womanhood easier to hold.

Perimenopause, Menopause & Nervous System Stability

Hormonal transitions can significantly disrupt sleep, mood regulation, cognitive clarity, and stress tolerance as fluctuating estrogen and progesterone affect the nervous system. These changes are often misattributed to anxiety, burnout, or ageing, leaving the underlying drivers untreated. Allie focuses on identifying where hormonal instability is amplifying nervous system load and introduces stabilising interventions early.

Metabolic Change During Hormonal Transition

Shifts in estrogen during perimenopause and menopause alter insulin sensitivity, fat distribution, appetite regulation, and energy use. Many women are given lifestyle advice that ignores these physiological changes, leading to frustration and self-blame when it fails. Allie approaches metabolic health as a hormonal issue first, integrating medical management, lifestyle support, and medications.

PMDD, PMS & Cyclical Mood Disruption

Cyclical mood changes are driven by hormone–brain interactions, not a lack of emotional resilience. Standard mental health approaches often overlook how hormonal shifts can destabilise mood, impulse control, and emotional regulation. Allie assesses patterns across the menstrual cycle to identify where symptoms escalate and tailors hormonal and medical strategies accordingly. Her work aims to reduce the intensity and unpredictability of cycles so daily life feels more manageable and less disrupted.

ADHD & Hormonal Transitions

Estrogen plays a key role in dopamine regulation, meaning hormonal shifts can significantly worsen ADHD symptoms during perimenopause and PMDD. Concentration, emotional regulation, and executive function often deteriorate just as life demands increase. Allie brings a neuroaffirming lens to care, adapting treatment plans, expectations, and pacing to reflect how ADHD presents differently during hormonal change.
