The Spider is a validated screening tool designed to help assess and visualise the wide range of symptoms that people with hypermobility-related disorders may experience. Created by an international team of researchers, this 31-question assessment covers eight key symptom domains: pain, fatigue, neuromusculoskeletal issues, cardiac dysautonomia, gastrointestinal symptoms, urogenital symptoms, anxiety, and depression.

What makes the Spider unique is its visual approach - after completing the questionnaire, results are plotted on an octagonal "spider web" graph, providing an immediate visual representation of how different symptoms impact an individual's life. This intuitive format helps both healthcare providers and patients better understand and track symptom patterns over time.

Validated for use with people aged 13-65, the Spider offers a systematic tool to ensure that all aspects of your condition are recognised and properly addressed in your treatment plan.
