biio. is an integrated multidisciplinary clinical service for patients with complex, overlapping, and often invisible illness. Our Neurodivergent Health Pathway supports adults and adolescents navigating ADHD, autism, and the complex co-occurring presentations — anxiety, trauma, sensory processing, and PDA profiles — that travel alongside hypermobility, dysautonomia and chronic illness.

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist with an interest in neurodivergence and trauma-informed care to join our Neurodivergent Health Pathway as its specialist medical anchor.

These patients have spent years inside the wrong frame. Labelled defiant when their nervous system was overwhelmed. Diagnosed with treatment-resistant anxiety when the underlying picture was autistic burnout. Medicated for depression when the issue was unrecognised ADHD, chronic pain, or the cumulative weight of being misread. They need a psychiatrist who can hold the neurodevelopmental, the autonomic and the trauma at once — and who recognises that the body is not a separate file.

Before each consultation, the picture is already assembled. Validated neurodevelopmental screens, structured developmental and trauma history, current pathway-team plans, medication history and prior assessments — all collated in biio.'s integrated digital workspace, the biiography. You arrive at the consultation informed, not catching up.

You'll integrate with biio.'s consultant neurologist, rheumatology team, paediatrician, psychology, nurse practitioners and dietetics. The mind and the body share a chart here. Care coordination, correspondence and referrals are handled by our support team.

Most uniquely, you will change lives here. Neurodivergent patients with complex physical health needs are routinely fragmented across services that cannot see each other. A psychiatrist who can hold the full picture doesn't just adjust a medication — they offer a patient the rarest thing in mental health care: being understood the first time.

Engagement is via contractor agreement, with flexible sessional commitment and competitive remuneration reflecting the specialist nature of this work.
