Mogeshni lived with symptoms for almost 20 years before she was diagnosed with hypermobility spectrum disorder and POTS. For much of that time, they were dismissed. Even as a doctor, she found herself coordinating her own care between specialists, retelling her history and connecting the dots alone.

That experience shapes how she practises. She brings nine years in public hospitals across five states and territories, extensive advanced training in rheumatology and general medicine, and a research background in Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and dysautonomia. She does not like to rush an appointment. Her first question is often what matters most to you, and the plan is built around the answer.

Outside clinic, Mogeshni writes poetry and essays, and paints. Her published pieces include Medical gaslighting delayed my diagnosis by 20 years (KevinMD, 2026), on her own path to diagnosis as a doctor, and The healing power of art for doctors and their patients (MJA InSight+, 2023).

Dysautonomia, POTS & Long COVID

Mogeshni starts with a detailed history of how symptoms began, what triggers them and how they have changed, alongside the Malmö POTS score and the NASA Lean test results from your initial biio.markers assessment. She orders first-line investigations to rule out other causes and find contributing conditions, then prescribes and adjusts POTS medication tailored to your POTS phenotype. For Long COVID, she screens for post-exertional malaise and builds pacing into the plan.

Hypermobility, hEDS & HSD

Mogeshni can diagnose hEDS and assess for HSD using the 2017 criteria and the Beighton score, working from the biio.markers assessment completed by the physiotherapy team. Her rheumatology training means she can order rheumatology pathology and rule out inflammatory or autoimmune conditions that can look similar. Where features suggest a rarer connective tissue disorder, she flags them for genetic review. Her letters set out the diagnosis clearly, so patients and their GPs have documentation they can use.

Mast Cell Activation

Mogeshni maps the pattern, timing and triggers of reactions, then works through other possible causes with targeted history and investigations before attributing symptoms to mast cell activation. Treatment starts with trigger reduction and medication aimed at the most disruptive symptoms, adjusted step by step for tolerability. Where the picture is unclear or reactions are severe, she brings in allergy and immunology input.

Gut Symptoms & Vascular Compression

Mogeshni can begin first-line gut investigations, including blood and stool tests, coeliac screening, breath testing and imaging, and can refer for gastric emptying studies. She checks for nutritional deficiencies that often follow slowed motility. She co-authored a published review on abdominopelvic vascular compression syndromes in EDS and HSD, and can refer for vascular ultrasound where these are suspected. She works with gastroenterologists, dietitians and other specialists when more specialised care is needed.
