Nicole began her nursing career in paediatric oncology, caring for children and families through serious illness. Her move into invisible illness is also personal. As a parent, she has navigated care for her own children and knows what it is like to watch a child fall through the cracks.

Nicole brings a gentle, thoughtful presence to every appointment. She works alongside families as partners, valuing what parents notice day to day as an essential part of the clinical picture.

Dysautonomia

In young people, dysautonomia disrupts how heart rate and blood pressure adjust to standing, and it often shows up as behaviour first: poor concentration, nausea before school, avoiding activities that once came easily. Read in isolation, this can look like anxiety or school avoidance. Nicole looks at what happens around the symptoms — whether being upright changes thinking, whether school days repeatedly precede a crash — and investigates and prescribes within her scope. The aim is a plan built on what the child's body is actually doing.

Fatigue, Pain & Recovery

Fatigue in children rarely announces itself. It can appear as disengagement, irritability or a slow withdrawal from sport and friends, while pain shifts in location and intensity week to week. Recovery that is out of proportion to the effort is a pattern worth noticing. Nicole tracks how function moves across home and school over time, separating what needs treatment from what is better watched. Care stays measured and matched to real capacity.

Hypermobility, Neurodivergence & Sensory Load

Hypermobility, autonomic symptoms, neurodivergence and sensory overwhelm often sit in the same child, each amplifying the others. Sensory load alters regulation; unstable joints add effort to ordinary movement. Different clinicians tend to recognise these features one at a time, without asking how they connect. Nicole considers whether apparently separate problems share a mechanism, and how the picture changes with age, growth and rising demand, so care follows the whole child rather than a list of diagnoses.
