biio. is an integrated multidisciplinary clinical service for patients with complex, overlapping, and often invisible illness — hypermobility spectrum disorders, dysautonomia, chronic fatigue, neurodivergent health, and the hormonal and pain syndromes that travel alongside them. Most of our patients have spent years moving between providers who each see a fragment.
We are seeking a General Practitioner with an interest in complex invisible illness to join biio. as the longitudinal medical home for patients across our pathways.
These patients don't need another first appointment. They've had dozens. What they need is a GP who knows their story, who can write the advocacy letter without a forty-minute explainer, who recognises the difference between deconditioning and post-exertional malaise, who can prescribe with hypermobility and autonomic considerations in mind, and who can hold continuity while specialists rotate through specific decisions.
You arrive at every appointment with the full picture already in front of you. Specialist letters, pathology trends, medication history, current pathway-team plans — all in biio.'s integrated digital workspace, the biiography. You arrive ready to think, not to chase.
You'll integrate with biio.'s consultant rheumatologists, neurologist and paediatrician, nurse practitioners, physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics and exercise physiology. Care coordination, NDIS and Centrelink paperwork, and routine correspondence are handled by our support team.
Most uniquely, you will change lives here. Patients with invisible illness lose years not because the conditions are untreatable, but because no one stays with them long enough to see the whole story. A GP who does becomes the most important clinician in their care — the one who finally remembers.
Engagement is via contractor agreement, with flexible sessional commitment and competitive remuneration reflecting the specialist nature of this work.
