biio. is an integrated multidisciplinary clinical service for children and adolescents aged 8–18 with complex, overlapping, and often invisible illness — hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS/HSD), POTS and dysautonomia, MCAS, long-COVID, and neurodivergence including ADHD, autism and PDA profiles.

We are seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join biio.'s Child & Adolescent Pathway, supporting young people across our Perth clinic, our new Melbourne clinic, and via telehealth Australia-wide.

These young people have spent years inside the wrong frame. Labelled clumsy when their proprioception couldn't keep up. Told to "just try harder" when their executive function was already overwhelmed. Dismissed as attention-seeking when the picture was sensory overload, autonomic dysregulation, or chronic pain. School systems that asked them to mask, then sent them home when masking stopped working. They need an OT who can see the sensory, the autonomic, the joint instability and the neurodivergence at once — and who can build a regulation plan that actually fits the child's nervous system.

Before each session, the picture is already assembled. Paediatrician notes, validated screens, sensory profiles, developmental history, family input, and current pathway-team plans — all in biio.'s integrated digital workspace, the biiography. You arrive ready to engage, not to take a fresh history from a tired family.

You'll work alongside biio.'s consultant paediatrician, psychology, physiotherapy, exercise physiology and nursing team. Care coordination, NDIS reports, school correspondence and referrals are handled by our support team — so your time is spent in front of children, not in front of paperwork.

Most uniquely, you will change lives here. Childhood can't wait. The years a young person spends being misread — as defiant, lazy, anxious or attention-seeking — are years of identity and self-trust they don't get back. A paediatric OT who recognises what others miss doesn't just hand over a sensory plan — they hand a child back the belief that the way they experience the world is valid, and workable.

Engagement is via part-time contractor agreement, with flexible sessional commitment and competitive remuneration reflecting the specialist nature of this work.
